Stargate: AtlantisThe Virtual SeriesAfter reading some of the great Fan Fiction that this community has to offer, I've decided to throw my name into the ring to offer my thoughts on how Stargate: Atlantis would have continued into Season 6. That said, I really want this to be an interactive experience (as much as a Fan Fiction can be) between you as the member and the stories I will be telling. My plan is to write an 'episode' a week (two weeks maximum), but incorporate your suggestions and ideas into the story as we go along - almost like a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' story. Each week prior to the release of a new 'episode', I will ask the community for your vote on three significant plot points that will be dealt with in the story, but will still be using my over-arching theme on how the SG:A story would have progressed through the seasons. This random idea could end up being a total dud, in which case I will just go back to the traditional posting of my Fan Fiction stories. I just thought this would be a neat (and different) way to involve the GateWorld community. Season 66x01: The BeginningThis episode will take place on the proceeding months after S5: 'Enemy at the Gates' and I will pose these three 'plot points' for you to vote upon. For the sake of keeping things fair, once a specific plot point has received 'three' votes it will be considered locked in.Plot Point #1: What happens to the city of Atlantis?1. Remains on Earth.

Embarks on an ambitious plan to have the city live up to its full potential, filling the city with UN civilians and military personnel alike. The city will act as a primary hub for all day-to-day stargate operations, effectively shutting down Stargate Command.

Elsewhere, plans are set into motion for some-type of return to the Pegasus Galaxy where efforts will be made to secure an 'Alpha Site' as a launchpad for all gate activity.2. Returns to the Pegasus Galaxy. And military realize the important role they were playing in the war against the Wraith and believe to accomplish this feat, Atlantis must return to the Pegasus Galaxy. It is the only way we can hope to effectively deal with the Wraith.Plot Point #2: What happens to Todd?1. He escapes (on Earth).

In some fashion, Todd finds a way to escape his captivity on Atlantis and forces Sheppard (and his team) to hunt him down. Their efforts to locate Todd have them working closely with I.O.A. Field Agents and other Stargate Command personnel.2. He escapes (in the Pegasus Galaxy). Believing it to be too dangerous to leave Todd in the Milky Way Galaxy, he is brought to the Pegasus Galaxy when the expedition returns where he escapes.3.

He remains in captivity. Believes Todd is a valuable resource to obtain information from on the Wraith. They continue their interrogation of him with the assistance of Sheppard and I.O.A. Field Agents. This may become a future plot point to revisit should Todd remain in captivity.4. He remains in captivity. (in the Pegasus Galaxy).

Believes it is too dangerous to leave Todd in the Milky Way Galaxy and he is brought back to the Pegasus Galaxy where he remains in locked away and questioned for information to use against the Wraith.Plot Point #3: Who is in command of Atlantis?1. Richard Woolsey.

Believes Woolsey is doing a great job under the circumstances of his handling of Atlantis personnel and the problems they have faced. Regardless of whether the city returns to the Pegasus Galaxy or remains on Earth, this is the man they want for the job.2. New Character. Representative) The former commander of Atlantis has moved onto bigger and better things (presumably), leaving a vacancy in the command structure. Is quick to fill this position with a member from their own ranks.

He is a stubborn man known for his instinctive decisions.3. Major General Hank Landry. Now believes strongly that the commander of Atlantis should have a strong military background and offer the position to General Landry, the current commander of Stargate Command.

He accepts on an interim basis to oversee Atlantis (either on Earth or in the Pegasus Galaxy) and will be working closely with a new character the I.O.A. Has assigned to the city as their representative.4. New Character.

(Military background). The former commander of Atlantis has moved onto bigger and better things (presumably), leaving a vacancy in the command structure. The I.O.A. Now believes strongly that the commander of Atlantis should have a strong military background and offer the position to new character, who will be working closely with a new character the I.O.A. Has assigned to the city as their representative. I would like to join this. But i think we should user the season 6 ideas ( as a stepping stone to get some ideas going.(obviosuly the names would change)1.

    Now What Part 23. Children of the Corn/Fantastic Four4. Carl's Replicator Story5. Classic Atlantis6. Carter Roshomon7.

The Red Shirt Diaries8. Sheppard DOA9. The Replacements10. Mid Season two-parter I11. Mid Season two-parter II12. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow14. Turn of Events19.

Escyos, it's funny you mentioned those. I actually have the blog portion bookmarked and my Virtual Season Six will aim to follow the 'rough' outline they had for Stargate: Atlantis. This whole 'voting' thing may crash and burn, but I thought it may be an unique way to involve the community - regardless, if it doesn't take I will just continue with the story anyhow.Fire me a PM if your interested, I will toss a few of my ideas over your way for critique!yea the voting system may not work as people tend to side with action episodes in stead of others and if you have all action, you may burn out the season too quick. Fan fiction series should be written like the real show, with people pitching ideas, then people teaming up ti write or writing separately but also letting other have say in certain things.otherwise you wil end up with a huge space battle between all the races every episode.

My votes:Plot Point #1: What happens to the city of Atlantis?2.

Regardless of whether the city returns to the Pegasus Galaxy or remains on Earth, this is the man they want for the job.as to Plot Point 2: i'd rather have him escape from atlantis on earth to the pegasus galaxy. Thus Atlantis is sent back to investigate and find him.
